“Thanks” is a special record that brings together Burna Boy and J. Cole together for the first time making a retrospective track.
Burna is keen to make it clear that he’s in a new place, and he taps J. Cole for a withering dress-down of his critics on “Thanks”
Burna Boy did justice to the hook, while J. Cole’s verse gave the song a unique feel. “Thanks” was taken from Burna’s album, “I Told Them….”
Burna Boy’s seventh studio album, “I Told Them…,” spans 15 tracks with featured guest appearances from J. Cole, Dave, 21 Savage, Seyi Vibez, Bryon Messia, RZA, and GZA.
I Told Them… is hip-hop inspired, cocksure, and blunt, offering a glimpse at Burna’s future with backstory from his past.
The album was preceded by songs like “Cheat On Me” with Dave, “Big 7,” “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” with 21 Savage and “Talibans II” with Bryon Messia.
